Navigating to the Document Upload Area
Open a checkride or a Checkride Prep from the Checkrides page and scroll to the documents section in the expanded card. This is where you upload, view, and manage all documents associated with that checkride or prep. When an offer becomes a confirmed checkride, any documents you uploaded to the matching Checkride Prep move over automatically.
Selecting the Document Type
When uploading a document, you must select its type so your DPE can quickly identify what you are submitting. The available document types are:
- FAA Form 8710-1 — A PDF of your IACRA-generated 8710-1. Only one 8710-1 can be attached per checkride or prep, and it has its own dedicated review and signing flow. See Signing Your FAA Form 8710-1.
- Endorsement — Instructor endorsement pages from your logbook
- Medical Certificate — Your current FAA medical certificate
- Photo ID — A valid, government-issued photo identification
- Logbook Page — Pages from your pilot logbook showing relevant flight time and entries
- Planning Document — Cross-country flight plans, weight and balance calculations, performance sheets, and other planning materials
- Other — Any other document that does not fit the standard categories
Uploading a File
Click the upload button and select a file from your device. On mobile devices, you can take a photo directly with your camera and upload it immediately. Supported file types include images (JPG, PNG) and PDFs. A progress indicator appears while the file uploads, followed by a confirmation when the upload is complete. Up to ten documents may be attached to any one checkride or prep.
Managing Uploaded Documents
All documents you have uploaded are listed in the documents section. You can delete a document if you uploaded the wrong file and need to replace it. Your DPE and any authorized instructor with access to the same prep or checkride can also view your uploaded documents.
